About Me

I’m Nora, the founder of Chinese Helpers and co-host of the popular podcast on China, Two White Chicks in China. Originally from a small town in Wisconsin, I moved to China with nothing but a backpack in 2009 and stayed for 15+ years. Since moving to China, I learned to read and speak Mandarin Chinese and have partnered with a lot of wonderful people here to demystify the language and culture of China. I am here with my helpful team of Chinese experts to share knowledge and help you in any way that I can when it comes to Chinese- whether it be to switch your phone’s UI language back to English from Chinese, coach you to pronounce Mandarin Chinese correctly for a movie role, help you choose a Chinese tattoo with a real meaning, or get your kids started with learning Chinese. I’m really our paths crossed here!

If you are having trouble finding what you need on this website, please feel free to drop me an email at anytime. I read every single one! Send your message to me at support@chinesehelpers.com. Looking forward to hearing from you!
